A Spring Engagement Session in Downtown Bethlehem
Rachel & Patrick wanted a modern, relaxed, & free-spirited feel for their spring engagement session. We met on a perfectly overcast spring morning in Downtown Bethlehem (Rachel’s hometown) for their photos.
The two have been together for 10 years! They’re super laidback and just excited to finally tie the knot on the love & growth they’ve shared over the past decade. It was important to them that their photos felt effortless & authentic. So we took our time as we wandered around the gorgeous streets of Historic Bethlehem.
Rachel’s only other request was to capture the cherry blossom & magnolia blooms downtown during their engagement session. So, naturally, we headed to the Library.
Fun fact - Did you know that Bethlehem has a sister city in Japan? It’s true! In 1970 Yoshinaga Sakon, one of Japan's outstanding landscape architects, designed & built the tea house & the Garden of Serenity as a gift to his friends, and Bethlehem natives, Mr. and Mrs. Fenninger. The Garden of Serenity can be found on the west side of the library’s grounds, and is surrounded by cherry blossoms, apple blossoms & magnolia trees. You can learn more about the Bethlehem–Tondabayashi Sister City Commission & Annual Cherry Blossom festival by tapping the link here 🌸
After exploring the library grounds, I asked Rachel & Patrick they wanted to snap a few photos in a cute corner of the library. They eagerly agreed and we headed inside.
After taking a beat in the library, we headed downtown to capture the absolute magic that is Historic Downtown Bethlehem in springtime.
